Youth Exchange Network of the Global Partnership for Poverty Alleviation and Development Officially Launched

Ahead of the 34th International Day for the Eradication of Poverty, the launch event of the Youth Exchange Network of the Global Partnership for Poverty Alleviation and Development (GPPAD) was held on the morning of October 16, hosted by the GPPAD Secretariat.

GPPAD was officially established in Beijing on May 27, 2026, and now counts 54 country members and nine international‑organization members. To advance youth-focused exchanges and cooperation on poverty reduction under the GPPAD framework, China took the lead in putting forward the GPPAD Youth Action Initiative (Y-Action) at the first meeting of the GPPAD Committee. The launch of the Youth Exchange Network marks one of the key practical measures to implement the Initiative. Open to young people worldwide committed to poverty reduction and rural development, the network organizes thematic sharing sessions, training programs, field research and other activities. It builds cross-national and cross‑regional bridges for youth, encouraging them to conduct poverty reduction research and innovative practices, and exchange their perspectives and practical outcomes.
