On the morning of 27 August 2026, Mr. Liu Junwen, Director General of the International Poverty Reduction Center in China (IPRCC), led a delegation to visit the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Resident Representative Office in China and held talks with Mr. Stefan Liller, the newly appointed UNDP Resident Representative for China.

During the meeting, Director General Liu Junwen reviewed the cooperation between IPRCC and UNDP under the four phases of projects and briefed on IPRCC’s recent progress. The two sides engaged in in-depth discussions on further strengthening cooperation in knowledge product development, capacity building and project implementation within the framework of the Global Partnership for Poverty Alleviation and Development (GPPAD). Mr. Stefan Liller welcomed Director General Liu Junwen and his delegation, introduced UNDP’s global resource network, and expressed UNDP’s willingness to further cement its partnership with IPRCC and deliver new outcomes in their cooperation.
Mr. Zhang Weidong, Assistant Resident Representative of UNDP China, Mr. Wang Chen, Programme Manager, and relevant officials from IPRCC’s Research Division and Foreign Affairs Division attended the meeting.
