From July 9 to 22, 2026, the "Seminar on Formulation and Implementation on Poverty Reduction Planning Policies for Developing Countries" hosted by the International Poverty Reduction Center in China (hereinafter referred to as IPRCC), was successfully held in Beijing and Fujian. The 14-day seminar brought together 26 officials from 9 countries and regional organizations，including Cambodia, Nigeria, South Africa, Rwanda, Namibia, Cape Verde, Albania, Antigua and Barbudathe, and the African Union. Deputy Director General Ms. Jie Ping, Deputy Director General of the IPRCC, attended both the opening and closing ceremonies and delivered speeches. Mr. Ende Sew Belete Teshome, Labor Officer of the African Union, and Mr. Sam Sok Sotheavuth, Deputy Director General of Ministry of Planning, Cambodia, spoke on behalf of the participants during the opening and closing ceremonies, respectively.

Centered on the theme of "Formulating and Implementing Poverty Alleviation Planning Policies," the seminar featured thematic lectures and cultural experiences in Beijing, followed by field visits to Ningde City in Fujian Province, where the participants visited the projects on industrial development, employment promotion, integration of agriculture, culture, and tourism, rural construction, and governance.

Mr. Sam Sok Sothevuth, the Deputy Director General of the Ministry of  Planning, Cambodia, said: "The thematic lectures and field visits of this seminar have provided us with a comprehensive introduction to China's poverty reduction strategy plans and policy system, allowing us to witness the grassroots-level practices and sustainable development of China's success in eradicating poverty. This seminar is an excellent platform for international poverty reduction knowledge exchange, enabling us to exchange and discuss with other representatives the different challenges faced by different countries and innovative solutions to poverty governance. We look forward to transforming China's successful innovative model of poverty alleviation into poverty reduction plans and policies that can be learned from and implemented by developing countries, thereby promoting sustainable social economic growth and inclusive development in our respective countries."
