On June 30, the thematic seminar titled “Understanding China's Governance, Promoting China-Bulgaria Development” was held in Sofia, capital of Bulgaria, co-hosted by co-hosted by the Bulgarian Socialist Party's executive bureau, the Chinese Embassy in Bulgaria, Capital Normal University in Beijing, and Xinhua Institute, a think tank affiliated with Xinhua News Agency. Representatives including Chinese and Bulgarian experts, scholars, young people and university teachers and students gathered to discuss the future development of the two countries.

At the Seminar, Bulgarian guests spoke highly of China’s development and its experience in state governance. Ms. Li Xin, Deputy Director General of the International Poverty Reduction Center in China (IPRCC), was invited to attend and delivered a video speech during the special academic address session. She introduced China’s targeted poverty reduction achievements and experience.
