On April 23, 2026, Ms. Li Xin, Deputy Director General of the International Poverty Reduction Center in China (IPRCC), attended the virtual expert group meeting on the Implementation of the Third United Nations Decade for the Eradication of Poverty at the invitation of the Division for Inclusive Social Development (DISD) of the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA). The meeting focused on two key topics: Intergenerational Poverty and Persistence of Poverty and Policy, and Policy Responses and Measures to Accelerate Progress in the Final Phase of the Decade. DDG Li Xin, delivered her speech under the theme of Integrated Policy Approaches, introducing China’s Integrated Poverty Alleviation Policy System. During the interactive discussion, she elaborated on how to accurately identify the impoverished population and how to ensure the poor get benefits from economic growth.
