On the afternoon of January 5, 2026, Mr. Liu Junwen, Director General of the International Poverty Reduction Centre in China (IPRCC), met with H.E. Mr. Farhod Arziev, Ambassador of Uzbekistan to China. The two sides exchanged ideas on poverty reduction cooperation in 2026.

Director General Liu Junwen looked back on poverty reduction cooperation between China and Uzbekistan in the last 2 years, and expressed gratitude to the long-term supports by the relevant department of Uzbekistan and H.E. Mr. Farhod Arziev himself. Ambassador Farhod Arziev thanked IPRCC for its contributions to poverty reduction exchanges and cooperation between the two countries. The two sides carried out discussions on cooperative issues that are to be furthered in 2026.

Relevant staff from the Division of Research, Division of Training and Division of Foreign Affairs also participated in the meeting.
