To deepen staff understanding of cultural heritage and innovation in agriculture, rural areas and farming communities, the IPRCC Women’s Committee organized a visit on 26 September to the “2025 Chinese Farmers’ Harvest Festival: International Exchange Recommendations for Rural Craftspeople”, gathering vivid material and inspiration for telling China’s poverty-reduction story and advancing rural revitalization.
Under the theme “Craftpeople Enrich Villages, Sharing a Harmonious Future”, more than 100 rural craftspeople from 27 provinces presented paper-cuts, embroidery and other intangible cultural heritage. Through seeing, hearing, touching and tasting, staff experienced how “a single skill can enrich a whole community”. Participants said the craftspeople’s ingenuity offers powerful, living examples for consolidating poverty-reduction gains and revitalizing rural areas.
IPRCC will continue to use such platforms for varied study activities, presenting fresher cases and fuller voices to tell China’s poverty-reduction story and contribute ideas to global poverty reduction and rural development.
