From July 17 to 30, 2025, the Seminar on Poverty Alleviation Capacity Building for Kyrgyzstan, hosted by the Ministry of Commerce and organized by the International Poverty Reduction Center in China, was successfully held in Beijing. 20 officials from various departments of Kyrgyzstan, including the Government Office, Parliament, Trade and Economy, Education and Security and local governments, participated in the seminar. Ms. Jie Ping, Deputy Director General of IPRCC attended the opening and closing ceremony and delivered speeches. Mr. Almazbek Moldobaev, Permanent Representative of the President and Cabinet of Kyrgyzstan to the Constitutional Court, spoke on behalf of the participants at both the opening and closing ceremonies.

With the theme of "poverty alleviation capacity building", in addition to attending lectures and cultural experience activities in Beijing, the participants also went to Changzhi City, Shanxi Province to visit the projects in industrial poverty alleviation, integration of culture and tourism, resettlement and social security.

Ms. Adel Dzhoomartova, one of the representatives, said that this seminar helped her understand how China has lifted millions of people out of poverty in just a few decades. What she saw and heard in Beijing and Shanxi has completely changed her view on the possibilities of social development. They witnessed firsthand how people's lives have changed through the support and improvement of local industries, infrastructure, and special entrepreneurship programs, and how important diligence, discipline, and collective responsibility are for achieving development goals. This seminar has provided everyone with theoretical and practical experience for continuously promoting poverty alleviation and development.
