Recently, the International Poverty Reduction Center in China (IPRCC), in collaboration with the Department of International Cooperation of the National Radio and Television Administration, organized a filming trip for a journalist delegation from Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Pakistan.
On the morning of July 4, 2025, the delegation visited IPRCC and met with Ms. Li Xin, Deputy Director General of IPRCC, who provided an overview of China’s poverty alleviation policies and achievements, as well as IPRCC’s international cooperation efforts in poverty reduction. From July 6 to 12, the journalists traveled to Huamao Village in Bozhou District, Zunyi City, Meitan County in Guizhou, and Qapqal Xibe Autonomous County in Ili Kazakh Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang, for on-site reporting and filming.
During the trip, the delegation visited traditional paper-making workshop and eco-agricultural sightseeing park in Huamao Village, vast tea plantations in Meitan County, a high-tech dairy enterprise and the Wuzongbulake rural resettlement community for relocated poverty-stricken households in Ili. They witnessed firsthand the great achievements of China’s poverty alleviation and rural revitalization efforts.
The delegation highly commended this trip. They said that China’s poverty reduction experiences and practices are inspirational, and hoped that more people in their countries will get to know China’s poverty reduction cause through this activity.
