On the afternoon of June 9, 2025, the High-level Dialogue on Delivering on The Beijing+30 Action Agenda: Advancing Gender Equality and Women’s Economic Empowerment Through Gender Responsive Policies and Practices in Digital Revolution and Poverty Alleviation was convened in the UN Compound, Beijing. Ms. Li Xin, Deputy Director General of the International Poverty Reduction Center in China attended the Dialogue and delivered keynote remarks. She introduced China’s practices and experience in women’s development and poverty reduction during the fight against extreme poverty and the new era of rural revitalization.

The event was co-hosted by the Embassy of the Republic of Kenya to Beijing and UN Women China Office. Ms. Lynette Mwende Ndile, Deputy Ambassador of the Kenyan Embassy to China, Ms. Smriti Aryal, Representative of UN Women China Office, and Ms. He Shuwen, Deputy Director General of the Liaison Department of the All-China Women’s Federation addressed the opening ceremony. Approximately 70 representatives from the UN system, embassies to China, research institutions and social organizations participated in the Dialogue.
