The theme of the seminar is “Poverty Reduction of Small and Medium Enterprises and NGOs”. In addition to participating in lectures and cultural experience in Beijing, the participants also conducted field visits to Xiangyang City, Hubei Province, where they visited projects related to industrial poverty alleviation, employment-driven poverty alleviation, social assistance, and community governance.
Mr. Yuvan Contino Esquijerosa, the representative of the participants, stated that China has successfully established a sustainable social development pattern with integrated and mutually reinforcing primary, secondary, and tertiary industries. The seminar has provided experience that can be applied to the fields of rural revitalization and development, enabling participants to put what they have learned into practice.
The participants spoke highly of China's achievements, noting that China has strong determination and will in poverty reduction and development, and that the central and local governments at all levels have made every effort to ensure the implementation of various policies, which is worth learning for other developing countries. Developing countries will base themselves on their national conditions, adapt measures to local conditions, and continuously advance their own poverty reduction causes.
