Exploring the Millennium Journey of Rapeseed, Experiencing Chinese Agricultural Civilization— International Poverty Reduction Center in China Organizes Visit to National Agricultural Museum

To enhance the agricultural cultural awareness of the staff, deeply experience the Chinese agricultural civilization, and further enhance the sense of mission and honor of the work related to agriculture, rural areas and farmers,, the Trade Union of International Poverty Reduction Center in China  organized a visit to the special exhibition "Golden Flowers and Jade Dew – The Past and Present of Rapeseed" at the National Agricultural Museum on April 30, 2025.

This thematic exhibition traces rapeseed's remarkable evolution—from wild plant domestication to modern industrial cultivation—showcasing its pivotal role in China's agrarian history. Guided by the museum docent, the participants gained in-depth knowledge about rapeseed's pivotal role in agricultural civilization and the groundbreaking achievements made by Chinese scientists in hybrid breeding and functional variety development.

Participants unanimously reflected that this immersive journey through rapeseed's legacy not only revealed the profundity of traditional farming wisdom and celebrated generations of farmers' ingenuity, but most profoundly honored the dedication of researchers who advanced China's rapeseed industry to global prominence.

This visit broadened IPRCC staff’s horizons, deepened the profound affection for "agriculture, rural areas, and farmers” and reinforced a sense of mission.
