IPRCC Director General Liu Junwen Meets with the Practice Manager in Poverty and Equity Global Practice in Asia-Pacific Region of the World Bank

On the afternoon of April 11, 2025, Dr. Liu Junwen, Director General of International Poverty Reduction Center in China (IPRCC) met with guests from the World Bank, headed by Ms. Benu Bidani, Practice Manager in the Poverty and Equity Global Practice in Asia-Pacific Region. Dr. Liu Junwen introduced the achievements and experiences of China in poverty reduction as well as the current situation related to preventing the return to poverty and advancing all-around rural revitalization, and answered a series of questions raised by the delegation.

Ms. Benu Bidani spoke highly of China’s historic achievements in poverty alleviation and proposed enhanced exchanges with IPRCC to share China's experience in poverty reduction globally.

Mr. Sailesh Tiwari, Lead Economist in the Poverty and Equity Global Practice in Asia-Pacific Region of the World Bank, Ms. Veronica Montalva Talledo, Economist in the Poverty and Equity Global Practice in Asia-Pacific Region, together with IPRCC officials from research division and foreign affairs division attended the meeting.
