On the afternoon of February 19th, 2025, Mr. Liu Junwen, Director General of the International Poverty Reduction Center in China (IPRCC), chaired the Seminar on Telling China’s Story of Poverty Reduction Well. Ms. Li Xin, Deputy Director General of IPRCC, also attended the seminar.

The seminar brought together experts and scholars from a wide range of institutions, including the Institute of International Development of Cooperation of the Chinese Academy of International Trade and Economic Cooperation under the Ministry of Commerce, the Global Development Promotion Center of the China International Development Cooperation Agency, the Department of International Cooperation of the National Radio and Television Administration, as well as Beijing Normal University, China Agricultural University, University of International Business and Economics, and Beijing University of Agriculture. Several officials from relevant departments and agencies of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs also participated.

The participants discussed strategies for highlighting the global significance of China’s victory in the battle against extreme poverty. They also explored approaches for launching a special project on Telling China’s Story of Poverty Reduction Well, and shared insights on the content design of a project on international communication.

Key personnel from relevant divisions of IPRCC also participated in the meeting.
