On August 22, 2024, Seminar on Construction and Management of Agricultural Park for Belt and Road Countries, sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China and hosted by the International Poverty Reduction Center in China (IPRCC), was held in Beijing. Ms. Jie Ping, Deputy Director General of IPRCC attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. Mr. LUIS FERNANDO MORENO JAEN, Coordinating Department Director of Legislative Assembly of Costa Rica delivered a speech on behalf of all participants.

The seminar lasts 14 days and a total of 26 participants from departments like agriculture, planning, development and education from 8 countries including Sierra Leone, Nigeria, Costa Rica, Bulgaria, Nepal, Uganda, Tanzania and Afghanistan attend the seminar. In addition to participating in thematic lectures and cultural experience activities in Beijing, the participants will also go to Hubei Province for field visits, including the visits to agricultural parks such as Huanggang Modern Agriculture Demonstration Park, Yingshan Modern Agriculture Industrial Park, Luotian Smart Agriculture Industrial Park, etc.
