July 11, 2024, Li Xin, Deputy Director General of International Poverty Reduction Center in China (IPRCC) discussed about deepening cooperation with UNICEF during a meeting with Usha Mishra, new chief of Social Policy at UNICEF, at UNICEF Beijing Office.

Li introduced IPRCC’s achievement made in work and international poverty reduction cooperation to Mishra, while elaborated China’s policies on poverty alleviation and its rural revitalization strategy.

Mishra, for her part, stated the department’s focus on children-related social development issues. She also expressed interest in potential cooperation on topics such as children protection, children well-being development and the comprehensive development of children as China is striving towards rural revitalization.

The two sides also reviewed their ongoing cooperation. They agreed to enhance communication and are ready to explore new area for cooperation based on their mandate. Officials from IPRCC’s Cooperation Division also attended the meeting.
