On July 4, 2024, the Seminar on China Aid Program for Ethiopia, sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China and organized by the International Poverty Reduction Center in China (IPRCC), kicked off in Beijing. Ms. Jie Ping, Deputy Director General of IPRCC, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a welcome speech. Mr. HUSIEN ABDUSEMED ABDUREHMAN, Senior Expert on Tax Policy of Ethiopia’s Ministry of Finance, delivered a speech on behalf of the participants.

The 14-day seminar involves a total of 22 government officials and experts from Ethiopia’s Ministry of Finance, Accounting and Auditing Board, Public Procurement & Property Administration Agency, and Addis Ababa City Urban Beautification and Green Development Bureau, etc. In addition to participating in thematic lectures and cultural experience activities in Beijing, the participants will also go to Guizhou province, to conduct field visits.
