On May 16, 2024, Seminar on Formulation and Implementation on Poverty Reduction Planning for Developing Countries, sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China and hosted by the International Poverty Reduction Center in China (IPRCC), was held in Beijing. Ms. Jie Ping, Deputy Director General of IPRCC attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. Mr. DIJKSTEEL MARCIANO BENITO, program officer of Ministry of  Foreign Affairs of Suriname delivered a speech on behalf of all participants.

The seminar lasts 14 days and a total of 27 participants from departments like agriculture, finance, education and industry from 9 countries including Zambia, Nigeria, Uzbekistan, Egypt, Chile, Suriname, Mauritius, Ethiopia and Sri Lanka attend the seminar. In addition to participating in thematic lectures and cultural experience activities in Beijing, the participants will also go to Xuchang City and Zhumadian City of Henan Province for field visits.
