Targeted Poverty Alleviation and Narrowing Income Gap for Developing Countries &Seminar on Rural Development and Poverty Reduction for Latin American, Caribbean, and South Pacific CountriesEnd in Beijing

On July 6, 2023, the Seminar on Improving Mechanisms of Targeted Poverty Alleviation and Narrowing  Income Gap for Developing Countries & Seminar on Rural Development and Poverty Reduction for Latin American, Caribbean, and South Pacific Countries, sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China and hosted by the International Poverty Reduction Center in China (IPRCC), were successfully completed in Beijing. Ms. Jie Ping, Deputy Director General of IPRCC attended and addressed the closing ceremony. Ms. MUTONI NANCY NINETTE, the  National Press Secretary of the Ruling Party, Burundi and Mr. GEISON ENRIQUE VALVERDE MENDEZ, Legislative Council Member of Parliament, Costa Rica made speeches on behalf of all the participantsAt the closing ceremony, Ms. Jie Ping issued the the certificates to the participants of the two seminars.

The Seminar on Improving Mechanisms of Targeted Poverty Alleviation and Narrowing Income Gap for Developing Countries & Seminar on Rural Development and Poverty Reduction for Latin American, Caribbean, and South Pacific Countries were successfully held from June 27 to July 6, 2023 in Beijing and Gansu province. 26 participants from 10 countries, such as Burundi, Jordan, Ghana, Laos, Bolivia, Costa-Rica, Brazil, Uruguay and Venezuela participated in the two seminars.
