China adds four more World Irrigation Heritage Sites. Recently, at the 73rd Executive Council of the International Commission on Irrigation and Drainage (ICID) held in Adelaide, Australia, the 2022 (ninth batch) World Irrigation Heritage List was announced. All four projects, Tongjiyan in Sichuan Province, Xinghua Pallet Field in Jiangsu Province, Songyang Songgu Irrigation District in Zhejiang Province and Shangbao Terraces in Chongyi, Jiangxi Province, are declared successful. So far, world irrigation engineering heritage in China is up to 30. It is understood that the World Irrigation Heritage List was established in 2014, aiming to sort out the development of world irrigation civilization, promote the protection of irrigation engineering heritage, summarize the excellent water management wisdom of traditional irrigation projects, and provide historical experience and inspiration for sustainable irrigation development. The list of rural revitalization demonstration counties in China in 2022 was announced. To implement the deployment of Opinions of the State Council of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China on the Comprehensive Promotion of Rural Revitalization in 2022, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the National Rural Revitalization Bureau have carried out the review of the creation of rural revitalization demonstration counties in China. After the local recommendation and evaluation of the experts, 100 declared units including Daxing District in Beijing, are to be included in the list of national rural revitalization demonstration counties to be publicized in 2022. Among them, Shandong Province and Sichuan Province both have 6 demonstrations on the list, tied for first place in terms of quantity.

The Opinions puts forward 8 supporting policies, encouraging the use of current buildings to be converted into guaranteed rental housing in key functional areas and around current rail sites. The Opinions clarifies 3 types of implementation paths, encouraging the original land use rights holders to revitalize and utilize through independent, joint and other means. The original land use right holder has no will to continue development and construction, can be transferred through the secondary land market or government storage way to revitalize the use. It encourages state-owned enterprises to explore the establishment of professional platform companies, through the vacating, integration and other ways, the land and housing resources belonging to enterprises to coordinate the reuse.

The growth rate of Tibetan rural residents' per capita disposable income has been the first for 7 consecutive years. Since 2012, Tibetan per capita disposable income of rural residents has maintained double-digit growth for years, the first in China for seven consecutive years. In recent years, Tibet has introduced a series of initiatives to promote the income of farmers and herdsmen, and the per capita disposable income of rural residents has maintained a good growth momentum. In 2021, the per capita disposable income of Tibetan rural residents reached CNY 16,935, which is 2.97 times of that in 2012. Among them, the wage income is CNY 6,086, four times of 2012, the net business income is CNY 7,374, double of 2012, the net property income is CNY 768, five times of 2012, the net transfer income is CNY 2,707, 2.8 times of 2012. In the first half of 2022, the per capita disposable income of rural residents in Tibet reached CNY 5705, with a growth rate of 11.1%, 5.3 percentage points higher than the average growth rate in China.
