Seminar on Small and Medium Enterprises Development and Capacity Building in Poverty Reduction of NGOs for Government Officials from Developing Countries Ends in Beijing

The Seminar on Small and Medium Enterprises Development and Capacity Building in Poverty Reduction of NGOs for Government Officials from Developing Countries was successfully completed on August 4, 2022 in Beijing. The seminar was sponsored by Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China and organized by the International Poverty Reduction Center in China (IPRCC). Dr. Zhang Huidong, Deputy Director General of IPRCC, attended and addressed the concluding ceremony. Mr. Heak Pring, Vice Chief of Office of Ministry of Rural Development of Cambodia and Ms. Rathnayake Mudiyanselage Dilki Hansika, Assistant Registrar of National Institute of Cooperative Development of Sri Lanka delivered speeches on behalf of all participants. 

This seminar invited senior experts to give lectures on hot rural development and poverty reduction topics including SME development, employment poverty alleviation, industrial poverty alleviation, e-commerce poverty alleviation, etc, which comprehensively shared China’s poverty policies, measures and achievements with relevant government officials form developing countries.  

Mr. Heak Pring, Vice Chief of Office of Ministry of Rural Development of Cambodia stated on the ceremony that the poverty issue has trapped many developing countries and it is a common problem confronted by us human beings. Even we live in different continents and countries, we need to solve the problem by shared contributions to improve people’s living conditions, ensure sustainable development and develop harmonious societies.

Finally, Dr. Zhang Huidong issued electronic certificates to the participants of the seminar.
