The Seminar on Poverty Reduction for Togo, sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China and hosted by the International Poverty Reduction Center in China (IPRCC), was successfully completed on June 30, 2022 in Beijing. Dr. Zhang Huidong, Deputy Director General of IPRCC, attended and addressed the concluding ceremony. Mr. Yawovi Edo DOKOUNON, Chief of Regional Research Coordination Section of Regional Planning and Development Bureau of Ministry of Territories Development and Mrs. Tébaréma Dissirama TALAGA, Assistant of Communication Procurement of Program Assisting on Vulnerable Populations, delivered speeches on behalf of all participants. Through thematic lectures, video-based field visits and country presentations, this seminar shared China's poverty reduction experience, and strengthened the exchange and communication between China and Togo in the fields of poverty reduction and rural development.Kossi OGBONE stated that the seminar showed the great achievements made by China through poverty alleviation, and he hoped the cooperation fields between China and Togo could be expanded; besides, some participants hoped to come to China for on-site study and field visits.
