IPRCC signed an MOU with the Ministry of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction of the Republic of Uzbekistan

On October 19th, 2021, during the 2021 Rural Development Forum, approved by the National Rural Revitalization Administration, International Poverty Reduction Center in China (IPRCC) and the Ministry of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction of the Republic of Uzbekistan officially signed the "Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the International Poverty Reduction Center in China in the field of cooperation on poverty reduction." Mr. Liu Junwen, Director General of IPRCC and Mr. Saidkakhkhor Kholkhujaev, First Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction of the Republic of Uzbekistan signed the Memorandum of Understanding on behalf of the two sides via video conferencing. Ms. Li Xin, Deputy Director General of IPRCC, resided over the signing ceremony. Mr. Nuriddin Ubaydullayev, Counselor of the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan to China attended the signing ceremony online.

The two sides agreed to develop cooperation in areas such as the determination of poverty standards, the training of talents in the field of poverty reduction, the formulation of poverty reduction policies, effective measures for poverty reduction, the design and implementation of poverty reduction pilot projects, implementation of fundamental and applied research projects in the field of poverty reduction, and the use of modern information technologies in poverty reduction through technical cooperation, carrying out experiments in poverty reduction, training and professional development.
