Tan Weiping was invited to attend the Taihu World Cultural Forum

On October 11-13, 2021, at the invitation of Taihu World Cultural Forum, Dr. Tan Weiping, Deputy Director General of IPRCC, went to Bengbu City, Anhui Province to attend the sixth annual meeting of the forum. At the dialogue meeting of the theme forum of "Culture and Poverty Reduction - Promoting the Construction of a Community with a Shared Future for Mankind" topic 3 "Goal 2030: the Future and Responsibility of International Poverty Reduction", Dr. Tan Weiping made a speech and had an in-depth discussion with experts and scholars at home and abroad.

Dr. Tan Weiping pointed out that China's anti-poverty achievements are an important embodiment of the progress of human civilization. Poverty is one of the key factors hindering the progress of human civilization, whether in the broad sense of the country and nation, or in a specific region and population. From a broader perspective of global perspective, poverty eradication is a crucial measure to build a community of common destiny for mankind and promote the progress of human civilization. China's experience in poverty reduction has contributed Chinese wisdom and programs to global poverty governance, which is conducive to the majority of developing countries to learn from and truly realize the vision of "Mutual Learning among Civilizations: Building a Community with a Shared Future for Mankind".

With the invitation of the forum, Dr. Tan Weiping also presided over the theme forum "Culture and Poverty Reduction - Promoting the Construction of a Community with a Shared Future for Mankind" topic 2 "Poverty Reduction: the Practice of Multiple Subjects". Seven guests from the government, academia, news media, enterprises and other fields made speeches.

The sixth annual meeting of Taihu World Cultural Forum takes "Mutual Learning among Civilizations: Building a Community with a Shared Future for Mankind" as the theme. “One Belt One Road” and other major issues novel coronavirus pneumonia, and the global challenges and problems of new crown pneumonia prevention and control, coping with climate change, poverty alleviation and technology development, are 6 thematic forums and 4 thematic dialogues. Nearly 500 Chinese and foreign guests from more than 30 countries and regions participated in the meeting through a combination of online and offline, speaking freely and discussing in depth on topics of common concern.
