Seminar on Inclusive Growth and Sustainable Poverty Reduction for Developing Countries Held in Beijing

On August 25, 2021, the Seminar on Inclusive Growth and Sustainable Poverty Reduction for Developing Countries, sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China and hosted by the International Poverty Reduction Center in China (IPRCC), was held in Beijing. Mr. Zhang Huidong, Deputy Director General of IPRCC, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. The representative Ms. Modjadji Letsoalo, Deputy Director of Community Mobilization, Department of Social Development in South Africa, Mr. Bahodirjon Nosirov, Associated Professor of the Agricultural Economics Department, Andijan Agriculture and Agri-technologies Institute in Uzbekistan and Mr. Zerihun Melaku, Team Leader of Poverty & Welfare Analysis, Planning & Development Commission in Ethiopia made a speech on behalf of the participants.

This seminar will invite representatives from the developing countries to conduct in-depth and extensive discussions on the theme of inclusive growth and sustainable poverty reduction, in the context of China's relevant practices, so that other participants can learn from it.

The seminar lasts 10 days and a total of 51 participants from nine countries including Armenia, Egypt, Ethiopia, Indonesia, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Uzbekistan, Venezuela and Zambia attend the training.
