International Poverty Reduction Center in ChinaOrganized a Lecture on Rural Revitalization

On the morning of March 17, 2021, the International Poverty Reduction Center in China (IPRCC) invited Dr. Chen Zhigang, Chair Professor of China Academy of Rural Development at Zhejiang University and Senior Research Fellow at the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), to give a lecture on “Post 2020 Poverty Reduction, Rural Revitalization, and Common Prosperity”. All staff of IPRCC attended the lecture.

During the lecture, Dr. Chen Zhigang introduced international experience on rural development, including intergrating urban and rural development goals, improving rural living conditions, and strengthening local capacity building from countries such as the United States, France, Germany, Japan and Thailand. He also analyzed the international background, key challenges, current opportunities and practical directions of China’s rural revitalization, and addressed questions raised by the audience.

IPRCC will continue to invite other experts to give lectures on international exchanges and cooperation against the background of rural revitalization and on how to tell China’s stories to the world in a more effective way.
