The International Poverty Reduction Center in China (IPRCC) held an online annual meeting and the 9th Promotion Meeting of the East Asia Poverty Reduction Cooperation Pilot Project to conclude the work in 2020 and share status updates on the morning of January 19, 2021.

Dr. Liu Junwen, Director General of IPRCC, addressed the opening speech. Dr. Tan Weiping, Deputy Director General of IPRCC, attended the meeting and delivered a  speech. About 30 participants attended the meeting, including project experts, consultants, and staff from the project implementation entities, i.e. the Foreign Capital Poverty Alleviation Project Management Center of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, the International Poverty Reduction and Development Center of Yunnan Province, and the Project Center of the Poverty Alleviation and Development Bureau of Sichuan Province.

At the meeting, the participants exchanged the projects’ progress in Cambodia, Laos and Myanmar.The experts of Cambodia project introduced their experience in project completion and acceptance. The participants also discussed the preparation for project completion, the development of knowledge products, the strengthening of publicity work, and the planning of the “Cooperation Initiative on Poverty Reduction in East Asia Phase II”.
