April 27, 2010---Mr. Zhang Guoqing, Chinese Ambassador in Mali met with the delegation to Mali led by LGOP Deputy Director Zheng Wenkai. Ambassador Zhang introduced the development situation of Mali to the delegation and expressed his willingness to support China and Africa to conduct the substantial cooperation in the field of poverty reduction.

After the conference, upon the invitation of the embassy,  LOGP Deputy Director Zheng Wenkai, Duan Yingbi, Chairman of China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation (CFPA) and Li Xiaoyun, Dean of College of Humanities and Development of China Agricultural University respectively introduced such situations as China’s poverty alleviation in rural areas, status quo and issues of domestic economic development, the international development assistance, China-Africa cooperation, etc., and conducted interactive activities with the staff of the embassy.

On the very evening, the delegation participated in the welcoming reception held by the embassy for those participating representatives who attended the said International Symposium.
