Youth Symposium

4 May 2014 --- On the occasion of the May Fourth Youth Day, IPRCC Director General Zuo Changsheng held a youth symposium with some youth comrades of IPRCC to improve their ideological consciousness.

In the symposium, the youth staff spoke their minds freely and talked about their problems in work, study and life and provided some insights into the center’s future development. Especially, they revealed the distress and confusions from their work and family life in their 30’s.

After carefully listening to the speeches of the young comrades, Zuo said that a unit plays an important role in the youth’s growth and development, and this symposium provides enlightenment on how to do a better job for the youth and encourage their progress. He also put forward the following requirements:

First, it is very important for the youth to have a strong aspiration. A person shall aspire to something beyond the ordinary.

Second, it is proposed to attach importance to individual learning and practice, especially the study and practice of social science.

Third, it is important to strike a balance between social relations in different ages, especially the balance between work and family life, and straighten out various relationships.

At last, to help the youth avoid detours and errors, as an elder, Zuo reminded the youth to:

First, have a great vision and pay more attention to domestic and international trends.

Second, be open-minded and tolerant.

Third, have a sunny, positive outlook, and gain positive energy.

Fourth, properly deal with gains and losses.

On the afternoon of May 4th, in order to enrich the cultural life and practice the history attainments of the young comrades, as well as develop the patriotism of “being concern about the country and the people before anything else”, the IPRCC leadership, including Zuo Changsheng and He Xiaojun, along with the young comrades of the center, visited the Prince Gong’s Mansion to conduct a team capacity building activity themed on “Praying for the Chinese Dream”.
