IPRCC Deputy Director General Wei Chongjin, as a Member of the Selection Committee, Participated in “Zoom-in on Poverty” Global Photo Contest

14-15 September, 2011---“Zoom-in on Poverty” Global Photo Contest, co-launched and sponsored by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Xinhua News Agency was held in Beijing. The Selection Committee consisting of eleven members from different countries and regions had a final assessment of 30,000 photography works from more than 100 countries around the world.

“Zoom-in on Poverty” Global Photo Contest is a global public welfare campaign initiated by UNDP and the Xinhua News Agency, with the purpose of drawing the world’s attention on poverty issues, and through photography competition and exhibition, portraying the causes of poverty, strategies for addressing it and the achievements in poverty alleviation.
