Training
The Training division’s role is to organize anti-poverty training courses based on the genuine requirements of the participants. Training is targeted at senior government officials with a commitment to and interest in poverty reduction in developing countries. It aims to enhance participants’ understanding of poverty reduction theories and practices, policy design and program management, among others. The content of the training courses covers a range of aspects, including theories of development and poverty alleviation; practices, strategic policies and approaches to poverty reduction; anti-poverty project management; and information analysis and data collection, among others. Lectures in the training sessions are delivered by international poverty reduction experts and senior government officials. Training also includes attending seminars, workshops, specific country studies, interactive discussions, and field visits. |
